Job summary

Central Minnesota Mental Health Center (CMMHC) is seeking a Behavioral Health Practitioner to join our Crisis Team in St. Cloud. You will deliver home, community, and residential-based mental health services for individuals in crisis, under the direction of a Mental Health Professional.

Responsibilities include assessments, treatment planning, mobile outreach, and coordination with other programs. A strong emphasis on empathy, crisis intervention, and collaboration with families and clients is

Qualifications

• Qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner (MHP).
• 4,000 hours working with those with mental health, developmental disabilities, or chemical dependency diagnosis (can be part-time over years or 2 years full-time).
• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral sciences or related fields with practicum or internship hours (2,000 hours).
• Master’s degree or graduate degree in behavioral sciences or related fields.
• Clear DHS background study.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
• Completion of Agency-provided CPR and Medication Training.

Responsibilities

• Complete assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Provide mobile outreach and residential services.
• Answer the mental health crisis line and provide phone intervention and triage for referrals.
• Coordinate services with other programs and providers.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with clients and families and provide resources and support.
