Job summary

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services seeks a field-based Crisis Assessment Specialist to deliver jail diversion services across the 8-county region. The role requires collaboration with jail staff and county courts to identify candidates for diversion or outpatient treatment and to minimize the time incarcerated.

Position is Wednesday–Sunday, non-exempt with flexible hours and some on-call evenings/weekends; located at Williamson County Jail, Georgetown, TX.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field.
• Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License and maintain approved driver’s status throughout employment.
• If degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field are required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Two years crisis/intake experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis assessment and jail diversion services within the 8-county area.
• Coordinate with jail personnel and County Courts including District Attorneys.
• Identify candidates for diversion or outpatient treatment and minimize length of stay.
• Work independently and on a team, participate in meetings and training.
