Job summary

Holcomb Behavioral Health Systems in Exton, PA seeks a Crisis Counselor/Specialist for our Valley Creek Crisis Center. You will conduct 988 phone and walk-in crisis services, perform mobile outreach, and complete safety plans and level-of-care decisions.

The role requires a bachelor’s or master’s in social sciences with 1 year of relevant experience, experience in behavioral health, and preferred licensure. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social sciences with at least 1 year of relevant experience; or Master’s degree in social sciences with at least 1 year of relevant experience.
• Experience in behavioral health, including crisis assessment and triage.
• Licensure or certification preferred.
• Clearances: PA Child Abuse, Criminal and fingerprint-based federal history; not on Medicaid/Medicare Exclusion list.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 988 phone and walk-in crisis services, including mobile dispatch, level of care assessments, safety planning, and other crisis interventions.
• Conduct crisis assessments, triage, and stabilization.
• Provide clinical level-of-care evaluations.
• Conduct telephone crisis counseling to determine interventions.
• Participate in mobile outreach in community settings.
• Collaborate with community partners.
• Provide service referrals and linkage as clinically appropriate.
• Maintain quality documentation of clinical service delivery.
• Provide timely supporting documentation for all clinical services provided.
