Job summary

SummitRidge Hospital in Lawrenceville, GA is seeking an experienced Intake Counselor for PRN coverage. You will answer intake calls, provide crisis intervention, triage, and clinical assessments, and support patients, families, and referral sources.

You will work with internal and external teams to coordinate admissions, precertification, and on-site assessments as needed, building strong relationships across departments, physicians, and ER staff to ensure compassionate, high-quality customer

Qualifications

• Master's in psychology or social work; licensed or license eligible.
• Five (5) years post graduate experience in a psychiatric setting preferred.
• Minimum of five (5) years related experience in a psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, telephonic triage, and clinical assessments.
• Offer callers and families community resources and information.
• Obtain admission precertification; conduct on-site assessments as needed.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers, including departments, physicians, and Emergency Departments, while supporting exceptional customer service.
