Job summary

Indiana University Health, North Hospital in Carmel, IN, seeks a PRN Social Worker (MSW) to provide psychosocial and mental health assessments, crisis intervention, and discharge planning for patients and families. Will partner with the clinical team to address psychosocial needs and coordinate resources.

The role serves as a liaison with protective services, supports acute crises, and guides students and interns.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) required.
• Permanent LCSW licensure in the State of Indiana required.
• Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention or equivalent de-escalation training within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of psychosocial assessment, short-term counseling, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

• Meet face-to-face with patients and families for psychosocial assessments and interventions.
• Develop educational materials for team members, patients, and families.
• Serve as a resource and role model for students and staff.
• Collaborate with clinical team to develop treatment plans and discuss MH diagnoses.
• Maintain EMR documentation of all clinical activities.
