JOB TITLE: Crisis Clinician

PROGRAM/LOCATION: MCRT

ABOUT THE PROGRAM: Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) provides 24/7 crisis triage and mobile crisis assessment, including telephone triage and interventions at home, court, and community settings. Assessments determine risk levels, linkages to community services, and whether hospitalization is needed. Interventions support individuals to remain safely in the community and engage in treatment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide mobile crisis assessments and interventions in various community settings.
  • Assess risk, connect clients to ongoing services, and evaluate hospitalization needs.
  • Connect clients at risk to ongoing agency clinical services and supports.
  • Maintain documentation according to agency standards.
  • Participate in staff meetings, supervision, training, and other meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: Master’s degree in behavioral health field.

Experience: In-depth knowledge and experience as a psychotherapist working with addiction, mental health, or emotional disorders, relevant to the assigned program model.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: LCSW or other licensed psychotherapy practice in CT preferred; license eligible required. MSW staff must be licensed or working towards licensure. Recent graduates with a valid Temporary Permit may work for up to 120 days after degree completion.

Training: Demonstrated training in behavioral health treatment, assessment, evaluation, and therapy modalities.

COMPENSATION:

Flat hourly rate for per diem and fee-for-service positions.
