Job summary

Summit Pointe is seeking a Crisis Clinician for Emergency Services at the Access Center in Battle Creek, MI. You will provide screenings, assessments, and crisis stabilization to individuals in urgent care settings.

The role requires a Master’s in Psychology or Social Work, MI licensure (LMSW/LLMSW; LLP/TLLP; LPC/LLPC), CAADC certification within 90 days, and at least two years of behavioral health experience. Proficiency with EMR, Word, Excel, and a trauma-informed approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field with MI licensure (LMSW/LLMSW; LLP/TLLP; LPC/LLPC).
• CAADC Certification required or within 90 days of hire.
• Two years' behavioral health care experience with clinical services and/or psychotherapy.
• Knowledge of crisis intervention, assessment methods and coordination with services.
• CPR and first aid certification; trauma-informed approach.

Responsibilities

• Provides screenings and assessments including risk screening and referrals.
• Responds with community programs to assist individuals in crisis and coordinates with law enforcement when needed.
• Performs pre-screening for inpatient placement and determines appropriate level of care.
• Conducts psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and group therapy facilitation.
