Job summary

Bluebonnet Trails Community Services is seeking a Crisis Clinician to support adults in crisis at the Seguin Diversion Center. The role includes intake, assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, and safety planning within a facility-based crisis program.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team, provide de-escalation, and deliver person-centered services while supporting continuous program operations and cross-training across crisis programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a human services field.
• Two years of case management experience required.
• Valid Texas Driver's License and maintain approved driver's status.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Licensure as an LCDC preferred.
• Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred.

• Builds relationships with colleagues, collaborating across programs, seeking and offering input towards shared goals and objectives
• Provide individual and group services within the residential program

Our Vision is Healthy and Fulfilled Lives, and the Diversion Center offers an interdisciplinary team of Behavioral Health Technicians, Bachelors and Masters Level Clinicians, Licensed Clinicians, Registered Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatrists supporting adults in crisis through evaluation and assessment, medication management, safety planning, and care coordination.

Our Mission is to continuously improve the health and independence of the persons we serve, and the Diversion Center provides critical access to care to stabilize a crisis while diverting individuals from jail, emergency rooms, and hospitalization.

Critical Impact

At its core, the Diversion Center provides an option for expedited access to immediate behavioral health treatment, with a focus on pre-arrest jail diversion and recidivism reduction. The Diversion Center Crisis Clinician provides clinical care to individuals on the unit, including intake, assessment, treatment planning, discharge planning, and safety planning. Additionally, the Crisis Clinician collaborates with the interdisciplinary team and contractors on to maintaining Diversion Centers essential operations, including during emergencies and disasters.

The Crisis Clinician must possess an aptitude for working both independently and collaboratively. Cross training to support other crisis programs, including Crisis Respite Unit, Mobile and Youth Crisis Outreach Team, and Youth Therapeutic Respite is required.

Differential Detail

• $1.00 per hour- 2 year previous experience in a similar role
• Up to $4.00 per hour - Tenure with BTCS
• $.75 per hour - Bilingual
• $1.00 per hour - Advanced Licensure
• $.50 per hour - LCDC Licensure

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a human services field.

Comprehensive knowledge of mental health diagnoses, and an ability to work as a team member within a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment is essential to this position.

A minimum of two years of case management experience is required.

Must have a valid Texas Driver's License and maintain approved drivers status throughout employment.

• If the degree is not in a human services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a human services field are required.

Preferred Qualifications

Masters degree.

Pursuing clinical licensure in counseling, applied behavior analysis, family therapy, social work or a r lated field.

Licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).

Bilingual in ASL or Spanish preferred.
