Northwestern Community Services Board seeks a Crisis Clinician to perform emergency clinical assessments for detention and hospitalization decisions in line with DBHDS regulations. The role includes shift work with nights, weekends, and holidays, plus potential long hours during emergencies in Winchester, VA.

Positions provide supervision, training, and guidance to Crisis Clinician levels I–III, with opportunities to coordinate with law enforcement and community agencies.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant human services field is required; students considered with qualifications.
• Virginia LCSW or LPC eligibility preferred; Board registration within 6 months of employment.
• CPSC certification required with progressive experience.

Responsabilités

• Perform complex emergency evaluations including mental status examination and risk assessment.
• Provide emergency crisis intervention to high-risk individuals.
• Coordinate admissions to private and state facilities and work with law enforcement during evaluation and detention processes.
• Participate in staff meetings and provide brief crisis counseling when scheduling permits.
