Job Description: Crisis Case Manager (Level 3)

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is seeking a dedicated Crisis Case Manager (Level 3) to join our team in providing vital services to unaccompanied children in the U.S. This position involves conducting home studies, developing service plans, and providing intensive case management to ensure the safety and well-being of children and their families.

Major Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  1. Initial in-home assessment with child and sponsors, followed by weekly in-person contacts for the first 45-60 days, transitioning to remote services with monthly visits as needs stabilize.
  2. Developing individualized, trauma-informed service plans.
  3. Conducting comprehensive assessments and home visits to recommend reunification with sponsors, documenting findings within 10 days.
  4. Assessing ongoing behavioral and environmental changes impacting safety and stability.
  5. Providing crisis intervention and involving relevant authorities when necessary.
  6. Serving as the lead on cases with current safety concerns or playing a supportive role in other cases.
  7. Referring clients to legal, medical, educational, and social services, among others.
  8. Maintaining accurate documentation and building relationships with community providers.
  9. Using a child-centered, trauma-informed approach and ensuring confidentiality.
Job Requirements include but are not limited to:
  1. Master's degree in social work, psychology, or related field with clinical experience.
  2. Bilingual in Spanish and English, both written and verbal.
  3. At least two years of case management experience, including assessments and service planning, with a focus on children and family reunification.
  4. Experience working with immigrant populations and unaccompanied minors is preferred.
  5. Knowledge of local social services and navigating social systems.
  6. Ability to travel up to 70%, including nights and weekends, with on-call availability.
  7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, Zoom, and related platforms.
  8. Clearance and background checks as required by the Office of Refugee Resettlement.
Working Environment:

This role provides virtual case management with in-person meetings as needed, requiring a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
