Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. in Missouri is seeking a Behavioral Technician (BHCC) to provide compassionate support during crisis. Working under the Triage Clinician Lead, you will help ensure safety, daily needs, and a supportive environment for individuals in crisis.

This PRN, as-needed role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and a calm, patient-centered approach; weekend/evening availability may be required and mentoring of new staff is included.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• At least 1 year of psychiatric, nursing, or emergency room experience preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health crisis settings is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals during crisis, ensuring daily needs are met
• Monitor safety and engage with individuals to create a supportive environment
• Participate in medication administration (following L1MA training)
• Share observations and feedback with the treatment team to enhance care
• Assist in keeping the BHCC environment organized, clean, and welcoming
• Act as a mentor to new staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team
