Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. is seeking a Behavioral Technician (BHCC Community Living Instructor) to support individuals in crisis at the Behavioral Health Crisis Center. You will work under a Triage Clinician Lead to ensure safety, meet daily needs, and provide compassionate, person-centered care.

The role emphasizes collaboration with the treatment team, mentoring new staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment during crisis situations. Evening to overnight weekend hours are required.

Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of psychiatric, nursing, or emergency room experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support to individuals during crisis, ensuring daily needs are met.
• Monitor safety and engage with individuals to create a supportive environment.
• Participate in medication administration (following L1MA training).
• Share observations and feedback with the treatment team to enhance care.
• Assist in keeping the BHCC environment organized, clean, and welcoming.
• Act as a mentor to new staff and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
