Job summary

Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources in Gulfport, MS, is seeking an Active Treatment Technician for its CSU. The role works under RN supervision to assist consumers according to treatment plans in a 24-hour facility.

This position requires a Bachelor's degree and involves direct consumer care, documentation, and participation in training while supporting a safe, therapeutic environment. Weekend and holiday shifts are included.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Behavioral healthcare preferred
• Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
• Demonstrates good interpersonal skills necessary to deal tactfully and effectively with people in crisis situations
• Demonstrates ability to accept direction and responsibility for the care of consumers under treatment for psychiatric disorders

Responsibilities

• Accepts emergency/crisis calls. Responds to front-line first responder needs via telephone.
• Triages calls according to intensity, service needs, critical timing, and assignment of staff.
• Assists residents in all areas of physical care and hygiene of patients.
• Documents client behaviors observed during shift and charts into Electronic Medical Records.
• Participates in activities for clients.
• Prepares, gives, and participates in instructional training.
