Job summary

YSS, Inc. is seeking a Compassionate CARE Team Specialist for Ember Recovery Campus in Cambridge, IA to respond to crises and maintain a safe, trauma-informed environment for youth and young adults in residential care.

This role collaborates with staff, leadership, and emergency responders to promote safety and positive outcomes across the campus. The position emphasizes crisis intervention, relationship-building, and proactive support, with responsibilities including documentation, safety

Qualifications

• Must have at least one year of experience in care/management of clients in residential facilities.
• Experience responding to crises, behavioral incidents, or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crises, safety concerns, and emergencies across campus using trauma-informed de-escalation strategies.
• Build positive, therapeutic relationships with youth and provide structure and consistent expectations.
• Support staff during challenging situations; participate in incident debriefings and follow-up activities; document accurately.
