Job summary

Connections Health Solutions in Chantilly, Virginia is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for PRN/Pool shifts. You will administer medications, document provider orders, and perform continuous assessments for youth and adults in crisis care.

Required is an accredited nursing program graduate with an unrestricted VA license and at least 2 years in psychiatric/behavioral health. Vaccination, background checks, and VA DBHDS clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Unrestricted LPN license in Virginia or multi-state privilege.
• Minimum 2 years in psychiatric/behavioral health or related field.
• Able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Fully vaccinated or eligible for exemption per company policy.
• Background check and fingerprint clearance per VA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute data for nursing assessment and health history under RN supervision.
• Collaborate with RN on care plan and document labs, CIWA/CINA scores, and breathalyzer results.
• Transcribe orders and administer medications; obtain consent forms and verify meds.
• Draw labs and provide wound care as ordered by providers.
• Assist behavioral health staff in milieu management and info gathering.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and adherence.
• Use verbal de-escalation and therapeutic intervention techniques when needed.
• Administer emergency medications during seclusion/restraint with safety awareness.
• Perform other duties to support the care team.
