Job summary

Recovery Innovations in North Carolina is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join our crisis care team in Durham, working 7:00am–7:30pm on a rotating schedule. As an LPN, you will provide patient education, assist with admissions, monitor medications under RN supervision, and help coordinate care with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
• Current and valid LPN license.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
• Knowledge of psychiatric medications and their indications, side effects, interactions.
• Ability to work with agitated guests in crisis and their families to implement behavioral management interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide education regarding diabetic care and psychiatric medications to enhance health and wellbeing.
• Coordinate care including assisting individuals with medical and provider appointments as needed.
• Assist with intake process and collect specimens as required; monitor medications under RN supervision; maintain medication records per policy.
• Complete clinical documentation as required; stay current with state/federal regulations and policies.
• Support treatment and discharge planning; perform other related duties as assigned.
