Program Description

The Neurodevelopmental Services program uses interpersonal neurobiology, trauma‑informed care, and neurodiversity‑affirming practices to provide treatment, training, and research with neurodivergent and disabled communities. Our goal is to offer local and global treatment, training, and research that celebrates and honors their unique contributions, and promotes a world in which resilient, self‑determined individuals are supported by authentic, compassionate, and connected communities.

Target Populations and Services

Pacific Clinics' Neurodevelopmental Services program serves neurodivergent children, transitional‑age youth, adults, and families throughout San Bernardino and Riverside counties, offering crisis stabilization services, educationally related mental health services, play therapy, neurofeedback, Safe and Sound Protocol, EMDR, and other developmentally appropriate services. Under direct supervision, the team provides case management support to ensure neurodiverse‑affirming practices, crisis stabilization, and placement in the least restrictive home setting for neurodivergent clients. The team promotes client dignity and the right to self‑determination in all aspects of services.

Compensation
  • The initial compensation for this position ranges from $23.00 - $28.23 per hour, depending on experience, location, and internal equity considerations.
  • 5% bilingual differential for qualified positions.

Job Summary

Under the direct supervision of the clinical program management team, the role provides crisis stabilization services—including positive behavior supports and intervention strategies—to neurodivergent individuals and their caregivers. The worker collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to implement clinical treatment and behavior support plans across various settings such as homes, schools, and community environments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct individual and group behavioral health services to assigned clients consistent with service plans, under supervision of multidisciplinary clinicians.
  • Assist crisis stabilization and educational services teams in addressing clients in crisis.
  • Assist with de‑escalation, stabilization, and planning to access needed services such as psychiatry, outpatient therapy, and community supports.
  • Identify behavioral triggers and suggest environmental modifications to support positive behavioral change; integrate feedback from clinical supervisors to meet fidelity measures.
  • Record data, including video, for all treatment goals using electronic data collection systems.
  • Model, teach, reinforce, and implement positive behavioral interventions and skill development plans with individuals, caregivers, and their support network.
  • Assist supervisors with plan development, report creation, and assessment tasks.
  • Assist teams in developing program materials such as lesson plans, visual schedules, and social stories.
  • Actively participate in supervision, team meetings, in‑service trainings, client progress meetings, and other key meetings as assigned.
  • Proactively identify potential conflicts and communicate with clinical supervisor within 24 hours.
  • Ensure effective coordination of services with internal and external providers to solve barriers.
  • Manage time effectively and meet agency timelines for clinical documentation, compliance trainings, project deadlines, and timecard submissions.
  • Follow the weekly schedule for client and administrative services assigned by supervisor and follow a flexible schedule based on client needs.
  • Proactively communicate schedule changes, including part‑time hours, vacation, or sick time.
  • Engage in solution‑focused communication to maintain a positive work environment.
  • Implement strong organizational skills to support client outcomes and daily task management.
  • Stand‑by or quick response to crisis.
  • Drive to appointments with clients, families, and other key contacts.
  • Engage in physical interactions with children across variable ages, including games, sports, and other activities.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned to support department and business needs.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma and two years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience (two years of experience equals one year of education).
  • One year experience working with neurodivergent individuals (autism, intellectual/developmental disabilities, or other behavioral health diagnoses).
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance.

Physical Requirements

The physical demands include occasional standing, walking, sitting, use of hands, reaching, climbing stairs, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, talking, or hearing; occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds. Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Driving is required and may involve unsupervised contact with children. A full background check and TB exam are required.
