About the role

TI is looking for a strategic, results-driven Issues Communications Manager to lead the company's crisis and issues communications function. As a key member of the Corporate Communications team, you will be the architect of TI's issues response strategy - owning the processes, playbooks, and messaging that protect and strengthen TI's reputation when it matters most. You will ensure TI's corporate story and message is clear and consistent across all audiences. This role sits at the intersection of communications strategy, executive counsel, and operational execution, requiring someone who can stay composed under pressure while connecting dots across a complex global organization.

What you will gain from this role

  • Deep expertise in corporate crisis and issues management - from strategy and playbook development to real-time response across internal and external audiences, including TI's business continuity program and processes
  • High-visibility relationships with senior leaders and functional experts across TI, partnering on issues strategy and executive messaging
  • Direct people management experience leading an issues communications team and coordinating with external agency partners
  • Broad exposure to TI's public relations strategy and the opportunity to influence how the company shows up in the world's most critical moments

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead TI's issues and crisis communications strategy and day-to-day response, connecting dots across functions and regions to ensure timely, consistent execution.
  • Manage and develop the issues communications team, including selection, review and management of agency partners.
  • Draft proactive and reactive messaging, statements, and content for internal and external audiences on short, often unpredictable deadlines.
  • Counsel senior leaders and functional experts on recommended approach for responding to sensitive issues.
  • Continually assess the external media, social and political landscape, analyzing trendsthat could affect TI and providing proactive, strategic recommendations to leadership.
  • Develop and deliver communications strategies that strengthen and protect TI's brand and reputation during and after an issue.

  • Respond swiftly and decisively to unexpected issues as they arise, leading TI's communications response in real time.

Who we're looking for

The ideal candidate is sharp, calm under pressure, and experienced - a strategic communicator who thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving situations. You bring equal parts judgment and execution: you know how to counsel a senior executive, write a tight statement on deadline, and run a triage process all in the same day. You build trust quickly with leaders, colleagues, and agency partners alike, and you understand that protecting a company's reputation requires both preparedness and agility.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, or a related field.
  • 7+years of experience in corporate communications or public relations; issues and crisis communications experience strongly preferred.

Preferred qualifications

  • People management experience, this is a senior role with direct reports.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, able to identify and act on emerging issues without waiting for direction.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, competing priorities calmly and confidently under pressure and meet dynamic deadlines.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; ability to simplify complex messages with clarity and impact.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience working in a global organization, collaborating with colleagues across multiple locations along with agency partners.
  • Excellent, adaptable interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
