KMRG, LLC is seeking a Criminal Legal Assistant to support the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Northern District of Georgia, in Atlanta. The role involves assisting AUSAs with criminal litigation, legal research, discovery, and administrative duties to ensure efficient office operations.

Responsibilities include preparing pleadings, filing documents, organizing evidence, and coordinating with Victim-Witness staff as needed, with telework not routinely authorized.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional paralegal or legal training preferred.
• A four-year undergraduate degree is preferred for this role.

Responsabilidades

• Provide legal, litigation, and administrative support to AUSAs.
• Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, affidavits, and other documents.
• Draft routine litigation documents following procedures and formats.
• Prepare complaints, warrants, indictments, subpoenas, and related filings.
• Review materials and determine filing needs; proofread and cite-check documents.
• Assemble authorities, contents, exhibits, and case materials.
• Communicate case-related information through routine correspondence.
• Conduct legal research in designated databases and compile findings.
