The University of Southern Mississippi invites applications for a full-time, nine-month, non-tenure-track Assistant Teaching Professor or Instructor in Criminal Justice. The position is based on the Hattiesburg campus with a teaching load of four courses per semester; may include online and in-person delivery.

Ideal candidate will have terminal degree; for Assistant Teaching Professor PhD/ABD; must teach diverse courses; the School supports undergraduate programs and online graduate program.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Criminal Justice, Criminology, or Security Studies from an accredited university.
• PhD/ABD considered for Assistant Teaching Professor; PhD expected by appointment.
• Ability to teach online and in-person at undergraduate level.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Teaching, advising, and mentoring undergraduate students.
• Online and face-to-face course delivery.
• Preparing and submitting syllabi, grades, and other required course documentation in a timely manner.
• Engaging in scholarship/professional development and service activities commensurate with school, college, and university expectations.
• Attending school, college, and university meetings and recruitment events.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
