This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Criminal Justice Data Assistant in the United States. This part-time role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in criminal justice data management and analytics. You will support the collection, organization, and reporting of criminal history and recidivism outcomes, contributing to research and operational efforts that influence real-world criminal justice practices. Working closely with the Data and Analytics team, you will develop technical skills in databases such as Salesforce, practice data quality procedures, and assist with analytical projects. This position is ideal for detail-oriented, organized students or early-career professionals eager to build expertise in criminal justice systems, research methods, and data visualization. You will engage in meaningful work in a supportive, mission-driven environment while balancing a flexible part-time schedule.

Accountabilities

  • Track and enter participant criminal history data into case records accurately and efficiently
  • Navigate criminal justice databases and extract relevant information for reporting and analysis
  • Compile data into structured tables and prepare it for monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Support ad hoc data requests and analytics projects from agency staff
  • Assist the Manager of Data and Analytics with ongoing data projects and initiatives
  • Follow quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and completeness of data
  • Contribute to maintaining adherence to organizational policies on cultural competency, anti-discrimination, and operational standards
  • Perform other related duties and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Junior or senior-level college student pursuing a Bachelor’s in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • Knowledge of the U.S. criminal justice system and legal procedures
  • Proficiency with computers and software applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Strong attention to detail, punctuality, and organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data
  • Preferred: Experience with Salesforce or other CRM systems
  • Preferred: Interest in data exploration, visualization, and tools such as Power BI
