Job summary

Southern Nazarene University seeks adjunct instructors to teach undergraduate Criminal Justice courses, including Introduction to Criminal Justice and other related classes, with courses offered online or on the Bethany campus. In-person teaching is preferred when possible.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or related field.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must profess faith in Jesus Christ and support SNU mission.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses on assigned days and times.
• Plan lessons addressing learning outcomes for students.
• Use technology to enhance instruction and assessment.
• Design, administer, and grade assessments to measure student learning.
• Gather samples of course assignments for documentation.
• Maintain an up-to-date grade book in the LMS.
• Maintain an attendance record.
• Set up and use an LMS site for assigned course(s).
• Administer final exams on scheduled days.
• Submit final grades as requested by the Registrar.
• Additional duties as assigned.
