Qualifications

• Master’s degree in core field (Criminal Justice, Law degree/Juris Doctorate, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology) OR master’s degree in any field plus 12 graduate semester hours in a combination of the qualifying fields with a minimum of six credits from the bolded field; OR bachelor’s degree and 6,000 hours experience in the criminal justice system or related occupations.
• Ability to function effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated effectiveness working with populations from diverse values and backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Teaches CRJ courses in accordance with course competencies and syllabi.
• Develops and/or uses varied instructional strategies to meet diverse learning styles.
• Maintains a safe and civil learning environment and informs students about requirements and policies.
• Monitors attendance, progress and competency attainment and communicates with students as needed.
