Job summary

ViaPath Technologies is seeking a Criminal Intelligence Analyst to support corrections investigations with data-driven intelligence development. The role requires multitasking, clear communication, and bilingual capabilities as needed.

You will analyze data, perform link analysis, and prepare reports for facility leadership and outside agencies. The ideal candidate has experience with the intelligence cycle, OSINT, and data mining tools, with proficiency in SSMS and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security and Intelligence, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of intelligence-cycle analysis or substantial criminal investigative experience.
• Understand intelligence processes in a correctional environment and facility operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willing to testify in court or administrative hearings as needed.
• Proficient in Windows OS and Microsoft Suite.
• Able to learn ViaPath and third-party software within six months.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of OSINT, human trafficking, digital forensics, criminal organizations, fraud, or probation/parole preferred.
• Fluency in English; Spanish desired.

Responsibilities

• Analyze data to establish trends within the facility and potential areas of interest.
• Assist investigations using data mining and link analysis software.
• Run queries with SSMS and external languages (e.g., Python) to interact with data.
• Review offender telephone calls and understand facility operations.
• Develop intelligence to support facility objectives and mission.
• Submit detailed reports on intelligence findings.
• Provide guidance and training to facility staff.
• Respond to requests for call recordings and related data.
• Participate in court or administrative hearings.
• Maintain confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Develop expertise in areas such as OSINT, human trafficking, or digital forensics.
