Job summary

The State of Connecticut, Department of Emergency Services and Public Protection, is seeking a Processing Technician for the SPBI in Middletown, CT. The role centers on maintaining and disseminating criminal history information to authorized entities, with day-to-day contact from law enforcement and other agencies.

Work is full-time on a first shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday) at State Police Headquarters in Middletown.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform data input and verification using electronic repositories.
• Strong attention to detail when handling criminal history information.
• Good communication skills for interacting with law enforcement and agencies.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and disseminate criminal history information to authorized entities.
• Receive requests at the front window and by mail and process them accurately.
• Research arrest and disposition information within electronic systems.
• Enter data, review results, and transmit findings to requesting parties.
• Interact daily with law enforcement, agencies, and the public to fulfill requests.
