Job summary

Washington State Patrol seeks a qualified professional to support the Criminal History Analysis & Improvement Unit. The role involves understanding fingerprint workflow, coordinating biennial stakeholder meetings with counties, reconciling RAPsheet data with FBI records, and ensuring training materials are current.

The position reports to the Unit Supervisor and contributes to strategic compliance and data accuracy across criminal history reporting initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Must have a valid Washington driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment and be qualified to drive a state owned vehicle.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • 3 years experience in criminal justice, business administration, social science, or a related field. College level coursework in a related field may be substituted year-for-year for experience.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and participate in the state and federal workflow process for fingerprint processing, criminal and civil fingerprint card submission, disposition reporting and entry, and projects related to criminal justice systems integration.
  • Coordinate with counties’ criminal justice agencies to hold biennial stakeholder meetings.
  • Reconcile WASIS RAPsheet with the FBI III.
  • Ensure training materials are up-to-date and complete.
