Job summary

Washington State Patrol is seeking a detail-oriented candidate to process public disclosure requests under the Public Records Act. The role requires gathering responsive records, applying lawful redactions, and documenting steps for legal processes.

You will work closely with the public, agency staff, and the legal community, ensuring compliance and transparency. Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of clerical experience.

Qualifications

  • Must have clerical experience and ability to manage records.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds (archive boxes).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing records.

Responsibilities

  • Process public disclosure requests in compliance with PRA and laws.
  • Identify potentially responsive records and gather them from agency systems.
  • Apply redactions and exemptions as required and document actions.
  • Prepare redaction/withholding logs with applicable exemptions.
  • Testify or sign declarations regarding records provided or withheld.
