Job summary

Boly-Welch Inc in Oregon seeks a Criminal Defense Attorney with 3-5+ years of experience, preferably in criminal defense; prosecution or family law experience will be considered. This hybrid role requires four in-office days per week and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

You’ll guide clients from consultations through trial prep, representation, and post-trial matters, conducting research, negotiating pleas, drafting documents, interviewing witnesses, and consulting with experts.

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of experience in criminal defense; prosecution or family law considered.
• JD degree from an accredited law school.
• Active Oregon State Bar membership is required.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop legal strategy for cases.
• Consult with experts and interview witnesses to build cases.
• Negotiate plea deals on behalf of clients.
• Draft legal documents and filings for court.
• Lead client consultations, case management and trial prep.
• Represent clients in court and manage post-trial matters.

You’ll work closely with your clients through each stage of their case – from new client consultations and investigations to trial prep, court representation, and post-trial proceedings. You’ll need strong legal knowledge and negotiation skills to effectively advocate for your clients. Spanish-speaking skills would also be an asset for this team.

This is a hybrid position with four in-office days each week.
