Base pay range

$100,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr

Role Objective:

We are seeking to expand our Criminal Defense practice group to North Carolina. The Criminal Defense Attorney will help our firm establish a presence in this market while working independently on cases and focusing on achieving the best possible result for each and every client. Responsibilities and Duties:

• Handle cases independently from inception through resolution, including felony jury trials
• Timely and professional client communication
• Develop legal strategy and provide clear counsel to clients
• Develop cases to win
• Perform legal research and writing
• Make regular court appearances

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience focused on criminal defense cases
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
• Must be barred and in good standing in the State of North Carolina
• Ability to handle a full caseload independently
• Knowledge of court rules and procedures
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to promote yourself as an attorney to clients
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
