Job summary

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking a motivated Forensic Services Technician to join our team in the Phoenix area. Under supervision, you will respond to crime scenes for photography, perform basic processing and triage of evidence, and assist with forensic field-testing programs.

You will also prepare reports and may testify in court. Position requires an Associate's degree in a forensic-related field and the ability to work non-traditional hours.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a forensic-related field with coursework in photography or chemistry.
• Experience performing crime scene processing and photography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crime scenes to assist with photography and scene documentation.
• Conduct basic processing and triage of evidence at scenes and in the lab.
• Produce reports and provide testimony in court as needed.
• Maintain field instruments and participate in training and program activities.
