Job summary

The City of Gresham is seeking an Investigative Analyst for the Gresham Police Department to provide analytical and investigative support, turning data into intelligence for criminal investigations and strategic crime reduction.

This role requires preparing analytical reports, maintaining evidentiary standards, and presenting findings in administrative and judicial settings. A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of relevant experience are required, with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; field related to criminal justice, data analytics, intelligence analysis.
• Three (3) or more years of relevant experience in crime analysis, intelligence analysis, or investigative support.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record per department policies.

Responsibilities

• Compile, analyze, and interpret crime data including call records, geospatial info, and criminal intelligence.
• Produce analytical products such as link analysis charts, timelines, and crime maps.
• Provide investigative support and develop actionable intelligence for detectives.
• Analyze digital and social media evidence in accordance with legal standards.
• Prepare written reports and present findings to department personnel and partners.
• Maintain data integrity and security of analytical systems.
• Testify in court regarding methodologies and findings.
