Job summary
The City of Cincinnati is seeking a crime analysis professional to support daily operations of the Police Department. You will collect, collate, analyze, and disseminate crime, arrest, calls for service, and traffic data, assisting all Department personnel in a timely manner.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Public Administration, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics, Information Management, or related field, plus one year of
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Criminology, Criminal Justice, Police Science, Public Administration, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Statistical Analysis, Information Management, or related field.
- One year of crime analysis/research and/or intelligence analysis/research experience; master's may substitute for one year.
- Certification or training in crime analysis/research with five years of experience may substitute for education/experience.
Responsibilities
- Assist in collection, collation, analysis, and dissemination of crime, arrests, calls for service, and traffic data.
- Support all department personnel with timely data analysis and reporting.
- Prepare clear and concise reports based on data analyses.
- Identify data patterns to aid in crime solutions and prevention.
