This full-time, hourly role offers a 3:30 PM–2:00 AM shift with a night premium, emphasizes reliability, accurate recordkeeping in Excel/Fourth Shift, and safe operation of material-handling equipment.

Qualifications

  • Availability to work the crib shift as scheduled.
  • Standard shift hours are 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Friday.
  • Willingness to support overtime or Saturday hours as needed.
  • Basic computer skills (Excel, Word) required.
  • Able to stay organized and work independently.
  • Experience with shipping/receiving or inventory is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Verify packing slips, purchase orders, part numbers, and quantities.
  • Put stock away in correct locations and keep crib clean and labeled.
  • Pull and issue materials to shop floor as needed.
  • Scan inventory to maintain accurate system quantities.
  • Create accurate requisitions with part numbers and vendor data.
  • Track inventory levels and report low stock before production impact.
  • Communicate shortages or issues to Purchasing/Management.
  • Perform cycle counts and participate in physical inventory reviews.
  • Maintain accurate item locations, labels, and inventory records.
  • Assist with identifying obsolete or slow-moving inventory.
  • Prepare and send OV parts to outside vendors.

Pay Rate: 19.25+ Based off experience and additional $1.00 prem for night shift.

Overview

The Crib Attendant supports daily shop operations by maintaining inventory, issuing stock to the floor, and helping ensure production has the tools, supplies, and materials needed to keep jobs moving.

This position is responsible for tracking inventory, putting materials away, ordering replenishment inventory as needed, assisting with parts being sent to outside vendors, and keeping the crib area clean and organized.

The crib is a critical production support area. This role requires dependability, strong attendance, attention to detail, organization, clear communication, and the ability to support production needs in a timely and professional manner.

The person in this role must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and able to communicate effectively with Purchasing, Production, Maintenance, and Management.

Responsibilities
  • Receive incoming parts, materials, and supplies.
  • Verify packing slips, purchase orders, part numbers, quantities, and paperwork.
  • Put stock away in the correct locations and keep the crib clean, organized, and properly labeled.
  • Pull and issue materials, tools, and supplies to the shop floor as needed.
  • Scan inventory in and out accurately to maintain correct system quantities.
  • Track inventory levels and create requisitions for tools, supplies, materials, and replenishment items as needed.
  • Create accurate requisitions with correct part numbers, descriptions, quantities, vendor information, and need dates.
  • Monitor critical production items and report low stock before it impacts production.
  • Communicate urgent shortages, late items, damaged items, missing paperwork, inventory errors, or production-impacting issues immediately to Purchasing and Management.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory reviews to ensure system inventory matches actual stock.
  • Maintain accurate item locations, labels, bins, and inventory records.
  • Assist with identifying obsolete, excess, damaged, or slow-moving inventory for review.
  • Track OV parts, material, WIP, scrap, and inventory movement.
  • Prepare and send OV parts to outside vendors.
  • Maintain the graphite inventory list, including usage, stock levels, open orders, and replenishment needs.
  • Assist with furnace, maintenance, graphite, tooling, and other critical inventory reviews.
  • Support crib coverage based on production needs, including required hours and Saturdays as needed.
  • Safely operate a hi-lo/forklift, pallet jack, and other material-handling equipment.
  • Use Excel, Word, Fourth Shift, and other systems for tracking, updates, and reporting.
  • Communicate professionally and respectfully with Production, Purchasing, Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving, vendors, and Management.
  • Follow all safety, housekeeping, and company procedures.
Qualifications
  • Must be available to work on the required crib schedule to support production needs.
  • Standard shift hours are 3:30 PM to 2am, Monday through Friday, unless otherwise directed by management.
  • Must be available to support additional coverage, overtime, or Saturday hours when required by production.
  • Strong attendance and dependability are required due to the crib being a critical production support area.
  • Any schedule changes, time off, or coverage gaps must be communicated and approved in advance so production coverage can be planned.
  • Basic computer skills such as Excel, word.
  • Ability to stay organized and work independently.
  • Comfortable lifting, moving, and handling materials.
  • Hi-Lo/forklift experience preferred.
  • Shipping, receiving, crib, or inventory experience preferred.
  • Fourth Shift experience is helpful.
