Job summary

Clear Channel Outdoor is seeking a Construction Crew Member in Orlando to perform physical labor, welding, and equipment operation for outdoor advertising structures. You will work under the crew chief on installation, maintenance, and removal tasks, with emphasis on safety and quality.

This role requires at least 1+ year in construction or a related field, welding certifications, and CDL eligibility. Expect travel and overtime as needed, with strict safety and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred or equivalent education/experience.
• 1+ year construction or similar field experience required.
• Certifications preferred: NCCCO Crane Operator, OSHA 10/30, welding certification.

Responsibilities

• Constructs, installs, maintains, upgrades, and removes outdoor advertising structures under crew direction.
• Operates and maintains trucks, welding/cutting equipment, power tools and hand tools safely.
• Completes job paperwork (timecards, work orders, safety inspections) as required.
• Assists crew chief and team with site issues and tasks.
• Maintains inventory of tools, supplies, and materials.
• Repairs and maintains welding/cutting supplies and equipment.
• Instructs others on work processes, safety, and best practices.
• Ensures proper fit and assembly of sign structure components.
• Primes and paints welded material.
• Keeps work area, tools, and equipment clean.
• Installs, removes, and rotates outdoor displays (vinyl/wood).
• Assists with setup/breakdown of rented equipment.

Job Summary:

The Construction Crew Member's primary responsibility for this job is to perform tasks involving physical labor, welding/cutting of metal and operation of vehicles/equipment as it pertains to construction projects associated with advertising structures.

Job Responsibilities

• Constructs, installs, maintains, upgrades, and removes outdoor advertising structures under the direction of crew chief.
• Operates and maintains trucks, metal cutting/welding equipment, power tools and hand tools safely.
• Completes paperwork related to the implementation and completion of a job (e.g., timecards, work orders, safety-compliance, and vehicle and equipment inspections) as required.
• Assists crew chief and members with all site issues and tasks.
• Maintains inventory of tools, supplies and materials necessary to complete related tasks for each job.
• Repairs and maintains inventory of welding and cutting supplies and equipment.
• Instructs others on work processes, safety, and best work practices.
• Ensures proper fit and assembly of all sign structure components.
• Primes and pains all welded material.
• Maintains a clean work area, tools, and equipment always.
• Installs, removes, and rotates outdoor advertising displays and extensions consisting of vinyl, wood, or other material.
• Assists with set up and break down of rented equipment as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned and requested.

Job Qualifications

Experience - Required

• High School diploma or GED preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, experience, or military experience.

Education and Certifications - Preferred/As Required

• One (1) + year of experience related to construction or similar field required
• One (1) + year experience related to each certification preferred: Certified Rigger
• NCCCO Crane Operator Certification
• OSHA 10- or 30-hour Certification
• Valid welding certificate with a capacity of unlimited thickness of material issued by an accredited testing facility utilizing Structural Welding Code D1.1 for the SMAW or FCAW welding processes in the vertical and overhead positions.
• Certified and proficient in all aspects of fit and welding of structural steel (see job qualification section for specific requirements)
• Commercial Driver's License, Class A or B

Physical Demands

• Climbing ladders and/or stairs and work at elevations from 10 feet to more than 100 feet
• Lifting and positioning ladders, safety equipment and materials more than 85 pounds
• Standing, bending, stooping, lifting, positioning, holding, pushing, and pulling self, materials, and equipment in excess of 85 pounds
• Use pulleys, lifts, slings, and other equipment required for elevated work
• Operating welding equipment, chain saws, jack hammers, air impacts and various other equipment hand tools
• Hoists, aligns, erect, lift, sets and assembles structural steel and sign components
• Digging and shoveling of various soils concrete and fill materials
