Job Summary
Responsible for all materials, equipment, scheduling, and personnel associated with the construction/takedown/modification of advertising structures.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead crew and participates in constructing, installing, maintaining, upgrading, inspecting, evaluating, and removing outdoor advertising structures.
- Act as a liaison between the crew and Regional Operations Manager.
- Prioritize, plan, and organize all related equipment, deliveries, inspections, and personnel required for projects.
- Maintain written and electronic records of projects.
- Instruct employees in proper work methods and standards; monitor work quality and ensure adherence to time schedules.
- Verify that engineering standards are met and quality control maintained.
- Ensure that job site employees and independent contractors maintain safe work practices in compliance with local, state, federal, and company policies and guidelines.
- Supervise and train crew members, providing performance feedback and input into performance reviews.
- Operate and drive trucks, cranes, vans, and other equipment associated with the job.
Job Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience related to each certification.
- Certified Rigger preferred; Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or B preferred; NCCCO Crane Operator Certification preferred; OSHA 10‑ or 30‑hour Certification preferred.
- Valid welding certificate with unlimited thickness capability issued by an accredited facility using Structural Welding Code D1.1 for SMAW or FCAW in vertical and overhead positions.
- 2 years as a Crew Chief or foreman, or 5+ years of construction experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of crane and aerial lift operations.
- Fundamental knowledge of steel structures.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and essential math skills.
- Ability to read load charts and blueprints; understand hand crane signals.
- Knowledge of slings, hooks, ropes, and other material‑handling equipment.

Physical Demands
- Climb ladders and stairs and work at elevations from 10 to>100feet.

- Standing, bending, stooping, lifting, positioning, holding, pushing, and pulling self, materials, and equipment over85pounds.
- Operate welding equipment, chain saws, jack hammers, air impacts, and various hand tools.
- Use pulleys, lifts, slings, and other equipment for elevated work.
- Hoist, align, erect, lift, set, and assemble structural steel and sign components.
- Dig and shovel soils, concrete, and fill materials.
Compensation and Location

Travel and Overtime
Travel and overtime required.
