Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for machine operation and crews in a light industrial setting. Must manage machine teams to ensure proper and safe operation of assigned equipment. Responsible for quality, output, and meeting production goals. Additionally, fulfills the job duties of a Production Technician 1,2 and 3 as required.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Production: Monitors performance of machines and personnel. Provides feedback to personnel. Ensures that goals are being met, crews have tools and resources needed and issues are communicated to Supervisor. Ensures that the processes are being followed for production and material handling. Applies advanced troubleshooting skills and performs basic maintenance on assigned machines that improve quality and performance. Assists crew members when needed. 40%
  • Crew Leadership/Training: Organizes crew activities and delegates assignments. Trains and develops all crew members. 30%
  • Quality and Waste: Monitors product quality for correctness and report when errors occur. Monitors print and bundle quality. Makes adjustments as necessary to correct quality issues. Monitors product waste and takes steps to reduce or eliminate spoilage and doubles. 15%
  • Communication/Record Keeping/Safety: Maintains accurate record keeping IE: safety audits, packages per hour, labor hours per thousand and other logs or forms. Communicates personnel issues to the Supervisor. Informs other Operators/Supervisors of pertinent information and communicates to other shifts as necessary. Monitors and promotes a safe and clean workplace. Other duties as assigned. 15%
Qualifications

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)

EXPERIENCE

  • 3-5 years related experience
  • Basic computer experience

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to lead as a cell leader (multiple machines).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (varying upon equipment).
  • Effective communicator (share equipment knowledge, quality, and safety concerns).
  • Ability to troubleshoot machine problems.
  • Mathematical skills, and advanced skills in production reports.
  • Basic computer skills, technical skills may vary based on the equipment.
  • Ability and knowledge to operate a pallet jack.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of machine and manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language (Preferred).

Additional Information

10 hour A Shift - Tues - Sat, 7:15AM - 6:30PM. Shift can change depending on the buisness needs.

Thenational pay range for this role is $20.00 - $25.96. The payrange may beslightly lower or higher based on the geographic location of the hired employee. The actual pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
