Position: Crew Member Lead

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

• Perform independently with minimal supervision.
• Influence workflows and site initiatives to meet Key Performance Indicators.
• Provide daily guidance to crew members and seasonal employees.
• Communicate progress to team members, Seed Technicians, and leadership.
• Ensure safety and quality standards are met.
• Train new employees (bilingual) and peers in safety, quality, operations, and equipment.
• Complete audits and inspections timely, report issues promptly.
• Perform high-quality work safely with minimal errors.
• Identify opportunities for improvement, problem-solve, and implement solutions.
• Report safety and quality incidents promptly.
• Operate and train team on equipment such as tractors, harvesters, shellers, sprayers, etc.
• Collect, enter, and train team on data, understand data discrepancies.
• Manage pedigree system access and data input.
• Lead or assist in other projects as needed.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Valid Iowa Driver’s License and meet company criteria
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to learn technology including handheld devices and computers
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Availability for full-time work, overtime, weekends, and holidays
• Willingness to work in various environments, outdoors and indoors, in different conditions
• Ability to climb ladders and lift 40-50 pounds
• Leadership and training experience

Preferred:

• 2+ years of related experience or 4+ years of related experience
