Job summary

Dairy Queen Grill & Chill in Alexandria, Minnesota is hiring a Crew Member to assist at multiple stations including Chill Line, Front Counter, and Kitchen. You will greet customers, take orders, operate the drive-thru, prepare ice cream treats, and help with fry station duties.

Candidates must be 18 or older, fluent in English, able to pass a drug screen and background check, and capable of lifting up to 70 pounds. Housing is available for employees.

Pay:

$18.00 per hour

DUTIES:

Crew members are cross-trained to work at each station, including:

• Chill Line: make ice cream treats, ice cream cones, and Blizzard Royal Treats
• Front Counter: greet customers, operate the Drive-Thru Window and Extra Drive Side Delivery, take customer orders, collect money, thank customers
• Kitchen: complete prep work, complete line-cook duties, operate the fryer

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have strong English language skills.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check.
• Must be able to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands and arms to grasp, hold, and carry equipment.
• Must be able to see well, hear well, and verbally communicate well.
• Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds (boxes of supplies, etc.).
• Requires ability to hear and speak. Talking and hearing occur continuously.
• Visual acuity is required. Must be able to see well, with the most common functions being near vision and depth perception.
• Requires manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment.

OTHER EXPECTATIONS:

• Dependability: Must be able to be on time and demonstrate regular attendance.
• Job Performance: Must be able to complete duties quickly, efficiently, and safely.
• Conduct: Must be able to follow worksite rules and regulations. Employees who violate worksite rules and regulations will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment.

Uniform shirts and aprons are provided. Must wear close-toed non-slip shoes. Ok to wear jeans as long as no holes.

Housing: Shared employee housing. No single rooms. Houses are furnished. Sheets, blankets, pillows and towels provided. Fully equipped kitchen with all cookware, dishes and utensils. Two, washing machines and dryers in each house (free, not coin operated), Wi-Fi provided, television sets in bedrooms. SEE HOUSING PHOTOS.

Housing Rent: $125 per week per person

Housing Security Deposit: $200 deposit, with $125 refunded at move-out, less the cost of any damages ($75 kept for cleaning fee).

Transportation: Each house is ½ mile from work, which is a 12-minute walk or a 2-minute bike ride. Bicycles are provided at each house. Public buses are available. Bike, take public bus, or walk to work. Some co-workers may have cars for car‑pooling.

Costs: You must pay your housing rent, food, clothing, and other living expenses.
