Requirements:

• Ability to work with children
• Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• Must pass background examinations (included with training)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Act as an ambassador of the Goldfish Swim School brand
• Interact with customers, including adults and children
• Provide swim instruction based on the Goldfish Swim School curriculum or answer questions from current and potential customers
• Maintain lifeguard credentials throughout employment
• Report accidents and incidents to management and complete required documentation
• Perform other duties as assigned by the employer

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or GED preferred, or currently in high school. Experience as a certified lifeguard, youth sports instructor/coach, camp counselor, swim instructor, or childcare provider is preferred.

Certificates and Licenses:

Lifeguard, CPR/AED, and First Aid certifications are required. Paid training is provided for those not certified.

Work Environment:

While performing this job, the employee is regularly exposed to heat and humidity. Noise levels are usually moderate.
