Job Summary

The General Tree Care Team are the muscle of our operation. These industrial athletes work together to provide high-quality tree care, helping to maintain and preserve the overall health of our clients' landscapes.

This position pays $37+ per hour depending on years of experience, plus paid PTO, benefits, and a 401K. Sign On Bonus of $1,600!

Position Details

The Crew Lead position is an additional level of specialty for individuals demonstrating leadership qualities and approved by local management to direct a work crew. Knowledge required includes: TCIA Crew Leader Training Program, Crew Safety, Personal Safety, Hazard of Inexperience, and the ability to check off levels equal and below.

As part of the Tree Care Team, you'll work outdoors on beautiful properties, applying expertise in climbing, pruning, and safety to support landscape health.

Daily Responsibilities

• Work with the General Tree Care crew to deliver high-quality tree care services.
• Engage in pruning, removals, cable bracing, and related tasks.
• Operate equipment safely and provide excellent customer service.

Candidate Requirements

• Experience with pruning large shade and ornamental trees.
• Ability to identify native and introduced species and understand their characteristics.
• Climb without spurs.
• Knowledge of tree care safety standards and equipment operation.
• Experience with aerial lifts and chainsaw operation.
• Ability to climb trees using ropes, saddles, and ladders, and employ proper pruning and lowering techniques.
• Knowledge of various tree species and appropriate climbing techniques.
• Ability to perform aerial rescues if necessary.

Essential Qualities

• Desire to work outdoors.
• Valid U.S. driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Physical Demands

Must be able to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
