Job summary

Lewis Services, a leading utility vegetation management company, is seeking a Crew Leader to supervise tree crews, ensure safe and efficient trimming and line clearance, and uphold high standards of workmanship.

You will mentor crew members, manage tasks, and coordinate with customers and utility representatives. This role requires strong leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to travel as needed. ESOP benefits and paid training are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience in a tree crew or utility vegetation management.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI Z133 Safety Requirements and A300 Pruning Standards.
• Proficient in identifying poisonous plants.
• Electrical circuit basics and interpreting circuit maps.
• Advanced tree ascent/descent with ropes and safety saddle; aerial lift operations.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL as needed; medical certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily tree crew operations and ensure safe, efficient work practices.
• Plan and assign tasks based on crew skills and job requirements.
• Monitor crew performance and manage training and promotions.
• Maintain up-to-date contact information for crew members and report issues to the General Foreman.
• Conduct field training and job briefings to ensure crew readiness.
• Enforce safety standards and company policies; report unsafe conditions.
