City of Broken Arrow is seeking a skilled park maintenance lead in the Parks & Recreation/Forestry area in Oklahoma. The role involves leading a section, performing a wide range of horticulture, irrigation, and equipment duties, and assisting with scheduling, safety training, and supervision in the supervisor's absence.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 1–3 years of related experience, and the ability to obtain an Oklahoma driver’s license.

FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Under general supervision, leads and participates in skilled park maintenance operational and maintenance duties within their assigned work section.
Safety-sensitive: This position performs duties deemed to be “safety-sensitive" and is therefore subjected to random drug testing under the City’s policies
Requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented by one to three years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver's license issued by the state of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated. Possession of or ability to readily obtain a pesticide applicator license issued by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture or a Certified Playground Safety Inspector license or a pool operator’s permit.
Tasks involve the ability to exert exceptionally strong physical effort in very heavy work, typically involving some combination of balancing, climbing, crawling, and crouching, feeling, handling, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity, walking and lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of heavy weight (up to 150 pounds).
