Job summary

Clippers Landscaping seeks a hands-on Crew Leader to supervise a landscaping crew on job sites, ensure safety, and deliver quality work on schedule. You will train crew members, plan tasks, assign work, and maintain equipment and materials under the Operations Manager's direction.

You will communicate with clients, monitor progress, and uphold horticultural standards while promoting safe practices and teamwork on every project.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must communicate in English; Spanish language skills are highly preferred.
• Ability to train others and exercise leadership.
• Demonstrates dependability; consistently at work and on time.

Responsibilities

• Create schedules with management and follow job specifications, including materials and timelines.
• Organizes, supervises, leads and trains employees to complete projects within established guidelines and timeframe.
• Ensures contractual obligations are fulfilled in line with proper horticultural practices.
• Keeps equipment maintenance up to date under the preventative maintenance program.
• Inspects each job site weekly and maintains punch lists with the manager on site.
• Identifies ways to improve work processes, efficiency, and quality.
• Communicates with onsite clients as outlined in the communication plan.
• Responds to client requests and follows up to ensure needs are met.
• Keeps the manager informed of all client concerns and communications on the job site.
• Maintains safe working conditions and enforces company safety guidelines.

This position is responsible for developing and training crew members, planning, assigning and directing work, managing and maintaining material and equipment, and addressing and resolving customer issues. This position reports directly to the Operations Manager.

• Responds properly to the client’s requests; follows up to make sure their needs have been met.
• Keeps manager aware of all client concerns and communication on the job site.
• Maintains safe working conditions on job site at all times; follows and implements all company safety guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 18 years-of-age or older.
• Must be able to effectively communicate in English; bilingual in Spanish highly preferred.
