Job description

The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Leader/Foreman is a hands-on landscaping position responsible for supervising a year-round crew providing commercial landscaping maintenance services. The role also includes planning, administrative, and regulatory functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Supervising and training maintenance crews on all aspects of landscape maintenance services.
2. Performing mowing, raking, digging, and weeding of commercial properties.
3. Loading and unloading heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
4. Scheduling and managing daily workloads.
5. Planning, coordinating, and collecting equipment and job materials daily.
6. Attending and participating in crew and department safety meetings.
7. Preparing timesheets and other daily paperwork as required.
8. Safely driving company trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
9. Maintaining on-site relations and communication with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
10. Monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems, including adjusting times and replacing heads.

Equipment operation and maintenance:

• Mowers - push, walk-behind, and riding.
• Tillers, aerators, and slit seeders.
• Edgers, string trimmers, and chainsaws.
• Backpack blowers and sprayers.
• Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning tools.
• Occasional use of wheel tractors.

Pay and Benefits:

• Weekly salary ranging from $650 to $995.
• Affordable BCBS health insurance with optional vision and dental coverage.
• 40 hours of paid time off annually plus 11 observed holidays.
