The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Crew Leader/Foreman is a hands-on landscaping position responsible for supervising a year-round crew providing commercial landscaping maintenance services. The role also includes planning, administrative, and regulatory functions.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Supervising and training maintenance crews on all aspects of landscape maintenance services.
- Performing mowing, raking, digging, and weeding of commercial properties.
- Loading and unloading heavy equipment and planting materials from trucks.
- Scheduling and managing daily workloads.
- Planning, coordinating, and collecting equipment and job materials daily.
- Attending and participating in crew and department safety meetings.
- Preparing timesheets and other daily paperwork as required.
- Safely driving company trucks (with or without trailers) and transporting crew members.
- Maintaining on-site relations and communication with clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
- Monitoring and maintaining irrigation systems, including adjusting times and replacing heads.
Equipment operation and maintenance:
- Mowers - push, walk-behind, and riding.
- Tillers, aerators, and slit seeders.
- Edgers, string trimmers, and chainsaws.
- Backpack blowers and sprayers.
- Hand tools such as shovels, picks, rakes, and pruning tools.
- Occasional use of wheel tractors.
Pay and Benefits:
- Weekly salary ranging from $650 to $995.
