Job Summary

As a Crew Lead, you will be part of a crew that provides high-quality tree care to our clients. You will be involved in all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other concepts related to tree care. You’ll be able to safely operate all equipment and perform the assigned job tasks while also providing excellent service to our clients. The compensation ranges from $30 to $36 per hour based on experience.

The General Tree Care team are the backbone of our operation. These industrial athletes work together to provide high-quality tree care, helping to maintain and preserve the overall health of our clients’ landscapes.

What a typical day looks like:

As a Crew Lead, you will be part of a team that delivers high-quality tree care. Responsibilities include all aspects of pruning, removals, cable bracing, and other tree care concepts. You must be able to operate all equipment safely and perform your tasks efficiently while delivering excellent customer service.

You will also lead a team of tree workers, set up job sites, assess safety conditions, ensure proper equipment use, and communicate effectively with clients.

What kind of person we are looking for:

• Demonstrated knowledge of proper use of general tree care equipment
• Proven leadership and project management experience
• Previous landscaping experience demonstrating proper lifting techniques and procedures for handling brush on client properties
• Knowledge of common tree species identification
• Experience operating aerial lifts
• Knowledge of basic knots such as Weaver Knot, Clove Hitch, and Gilhooligan Knot
• Understanding of proper pruning tools including hand snips, pruners, pole saws, etc.
• Ability to follow all safety procedures diligently

Essential requirements:

• Willingness to complete required training and obtain necessary certifications and licenses
• Desire to work outdoors
• Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
