Job summary

IES is seeking a Crew Lead - Security Systems to act as on-site coordinator and crew lead for installation of security systems (card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion) per manufacturer specs and engineered drawings. You will supervise Technicians and ensure job completion with safety and quality standards.

You will work with the Project Manager to maintain productivity and budget, complete all project paperwork accurately, and serve as the main on-site customer contact.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a high school diploma or GED.
• Minimum five years of experience in security systems installation.
• Minimum six months supervisory or managerial experience.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above.
• Must be able to interpret blueprints and project documents, including specifications and quality requirements.
• Must know universal color codes used in security systems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet company minimum driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise several Technicians - Security Systems and provide necessary training.
• Coordinate with SS Project Manager to ensure productivity and budget adherence.
• Complete on-site paperwork accurately and on time (timesheets, work orders, transfers, etc.).
• Serve as main on-site customer contact and attend facility meetings when required.
• Demonstrate detailed technical knowledge of card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems; troubleshoot as needed.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Crew Lead - Security Systems will act as the on-site coordinator and crew lead supervisor for program and installation of Security Systems (Card Access, CCTV, CATV and Intrusion systems) per manufacturer requirements and engineered drawings. The Project Lead - Security Systems task will be to ensure job completion according to company and customer quality and safety requirements while maintaining the efficiency of the staff assigned to the project.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

1. The Crew Lead - Security Systems will consistently supervise several Technicians - Security Systems, assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training, assume responsibility for adherence to Company and customer safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings, initiate performance-related communications and escalation to Security Systems Project Manager if necessary.
2. The Crew Lead - Security Systems coordinates with SS Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget.
3. The Crew Lead - Security Systems fully completes all IES COMMUNICATIONS, LLC. and project paperwork accurately and on time (specifically timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers and others as required).
4. The Crew Lead - Security Systems serves as main on-site customer contact for questions and/or concerns; attend facility and construction meetings when required.
5. The Crew Lead - Security Systems performs work consistently demonstrating a detailed level of technical knowledge of card access, CCTV, CATV and intrusion systems; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
6. The Crew Lead - Security Systems will complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

• The Crew Lead - Security Systems must be self-motivated, positive in approach, professional and help create, develop and implement project process improvement(s).
• The Crew Lead - Security Systems must promote the Company culture and mission to all employees, vendors, clients and business partners.
• The Crew Lead - Security Systems must be able to act as the Company liaison for interface with customer representative(s).
• The Crew Lead - Security Systems must possess proven problem-solving skills, critical thinking skills and the ability to effectively read, write and give oral presentation(s).
• Must be able to stand and walk very large job sites regularly.
• The Crew Lead - Security Systems must be able to work at heights, off of a ladder and in confined spaces, lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds.
• The Crew Lead - Security Systems must be able to see and distinguish different colors, read small print and hear and recognize audible signals such as dial tones.
• The Crew Lead - Security Systems must be able to travel within the branch territory and/or regional territory as needed.
• Regular attendance is mandatory

Tools:

• Basic Hand Tools: screwdriver - all sizes (regular and Phillips,), drywall saw, torpedo level, tape measure, snips (with belt sheath), pliers (adjustable, needle nose, lineman), hammer, cable stripper, insulated crimping tool, flashlight and gloves. Multimeter, butt-set, toner/wand, coax compression and/or hex crimp tool.

Qualifications

Education, Certification, License, and Skill Requirements:

• Must possess at least a High School diploma or GED equivalency.
• Must possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in security systems installation.
• Must possess a minimum of six (6) months supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Must possess and be able to effectively use the tools listed above.
• Must have proven skill level to interpret blueprints and other project documents, including but not limited to, specifications, reporting and quality requirements.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.
• Must possess and be proficient with the listed tools
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
