Job summary

Fresh Express Salads in Streamwood, IL, seeks a Crew Lead to oversee day-to-day operations on all production lines from 5am to 4pm, Monday through Saturday. You will ensure safety, quality, and efficiency standards while guiding a team of 40–50 employees.

Responsibilities include coordinating schedules and changeovers, maintaining clean work areas, documenting hourly data, and training new hires. Bilingual skills are a plus; steel-toed shoes required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role.
• Experience leading 40–50 production employees.
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus.
• Steel-toed shoes required.
• Available to work Monday–Saturday.
• Bilingual English/Spanish or English/Polish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Communicate and understand Production schedule.
• Ensure production lines are staffed properly.
• Ensure lines are setup with correct product, label and packaging information.
• Coordinate changeovers with PMO's, Lift operators, dryer deck and case erector operators.
• Maintain a clean and organized working environment.
• Ensure products are safe and meet customer specifications.
• Monitor packaging lines to ensure correct quantities without overruns.
• Communicate mechanical issues to appropriate personnel.
• Complete hourly documentation as required.
• Follow daily production schedule, including changes.
• Meet machine efficiency and downtime targets.
• Assist in new hire orientation and training.
• Validate carton barcode scanning.
• Ensure accuracy of PMO paperwork.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
