Construction Crew Lead – Parking Lot Maintenance & Industrial Coatings
Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated, hands-on Crew Lead to lead our Parking Lot Maintenance team. This is a full-time leadership position responsible for managing daily job site operations while working alongside the crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.

The Crew Lead serves as the primary link between field personnel and project management, translating project plans into action while coordinating labor, equipment, materials, and customer communication. This individual must be a strong leader who can motivate crews, solve problems in real time, uphold company quality standards, and foster a culture of teamwork and safety.

Services Performed

Our Crew Lead oversee and participate in a variety of commercial parking lot maintenance and industrial coating services, including:

Asphalt sealcoating

Pothole repair

Installation of parking signs, wheel stops, bollards, and other site furnishings

Parking lot striping and pavement markings, including handicap spaces, directional arrows, crosswalks, numbering, lettering, and custom markings

General parking lot maintenance services

Other duties and services as assigned

Essential Responsibilities
Leadership & Crew Management

Lead and supervise field crews to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and with exceptional workmanship.

Assign daily tasks based on project requirements and employee skill levels.

Work alongside crew members, providing leadership through active participation in daily operations.

Create a positive team environment that promotes accountability, cooperation, and a strong work ethic.

Train employees on company procedures, proper work techniques, equipment operation, and service standards.

Participate in hiring, coaching, performance management, and disciplinary actions, including hiring and termination recommendations as needed and within company budget guidelines.

Monitor employee productivity and provide ongoing feedback for continuous improvement.

Safety & Compliance

Conduct daily safety meetings and job hazard assessments.

Enforce all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.

Ensure crews use proper personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site.

Inspect equipment and tools to ensure they are properly maintained and safe for operation.

Report and document accidents, incidents, and near misses promptly while implementing corrective actions.

Project Execution & Quality Control

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, site plans, and project specifications to ensure accurate execution.

Monitor workmanship throughout each project to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer expectations.

Identify deficiencies and implement corrective actions before project completion.

Complete daily job reports, production documentation, and equipment logs accurately.

Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiency, and overall project outcomes.

Scheduling, Planning & Site Coordination

Coordinate labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors to maintain project schedules.

Prioritize daily tasks to meet production goals and customer deadlines.

Balance timelines, manpower, and available resources to maximize efficiency.

Coordinate deliveries, equipment availability, and material staging.

Utilize company software and communication tools to provide project updates, track progress, and report issues promptly.

Customer Communication

Serve as the primary on-site representative of the company.

Communicate professionally with customers throughout the project.

Notify customers of project delays, schedule changes, or unforeseen circumstances.

Explain project issues and present solutions when challenges arise.

Ensure customer satisfaction by maintaining professionalism and delivering quality results.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience leading or managing construction crews as a Crew Lead, Foreman, or similar supervisory role.

Experience in parking lot maintenance, asphalt maintenance, pavement markings, concrete, coatings, or related construction trades preferred.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, site plans, and construction documents.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proven leadership and team-building abilities.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Demonstrated problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.

Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety practices.

Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.

Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions.
