Job summary

Global Environmental & Industrial Response is seeking a responsible leader to head a team delivering environmental and industrial services. The role emphasizes safety, training, and hands-on operation of heavy equipment.

Candidates should have 1–2 years managing and scheduling staff in industrial settings, excellent communication, and the ability to perform manual outdoor work, with respirator use and confined-space awareness.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years' experience managing and scheduling employees to perform industrial and environmental services.
  • Prior experience in an industrial / plant setting required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills and ability to interface with employees at all levels.
  • Ability to carry/move up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform manual labor in an outdoor setting.
  • Ability to work in and around confined spaces and at elevated heights.
  • Ability to use a respirator in environments with chemicals, fumes, etc. May need to be clean-shaven.
  • May be called out for Emergency response and able to work 8+ hour shifts.
  • CDL preferable; hands-on experience with tools/heavy equipment encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and ensure equipment and tools are ready for each job.
  • Conduct a Pre-con Meeting and complete a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) before starting a job.
  • Complete and review job packs and dailies daily and forward to admin.
  • Provide technical expertise in heavy equipment and industrial services and fill in for operational roles as needed.
  • Train new employees on job-related skills.
  • Perform other duties as directed.
  • Allocate 1 hour per month to Leadership training.

Global Environmental & Industrial Response (GEIR) is looking for a responsible person for leading a team performing environmental and industrial services.

Our ability to innovate helps us meet the needs of our customers. Our highly trained personnel are ready to serve industrial needs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!

Global provides heavy industrial cleaning services to utilities, phosphate/ mining, chemical plants, pulp & paper, and manufacturing facilities with specialization in hydro blasting and vacuum truck work. We provide customized solutions for sulfuric acid facilities, including preventative maintenance and repairs and full turn-key turnaround services. We also offer a variety of waste processing and handling services to ensure that waste generated from client sites, is collected, transported, and disposed of by local, state, and federal regulations.

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure that all equipment and tools are prepared and ready for job.

Required Skills:

  • Ability to use a respirator in environments where there may be exposure to chemicals, fumes, etc. May be required to be clean-shaven.
  • Ability to work over an 8+ hour shift if required. May be called out for Emergency response.
  • Maintain valid Driver License - CDL preferable.
  • Preferred 2-4 years of hands-on experience and operation with tools / heavy equipment.
PAY:
  • $20.00 - $24.00 (Pay is commensurate with prior experience)
SCHEDULE:
  • Varies - will consist of day and/or nights.
