Job summary

Bohler is seeking a Crew Chief in Southern Connecticut to lead all phases of field surveying using Trimble GPS and robotic total stations. You’ll coordinate field operations, manage data collection, and ensure accuracy to support development from concept to construction.

You will supervise a one-man crew, perform field calculations, and oversee quality control while upholding safety and company policies. Travel and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; surveying/math coursework preferred.
• 3+ years field experience with robotic total stations and data collectors.
• Experience with Trimble equipment and software.
• Strong math, computer and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in varied weather; lift 50 lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to travel, overtime, and overnight stays.
• Self-motivated with leadership, organization, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a robotic one-man survey crew and manage all field work.
• Utilize Trimble total stations and GPS for precise measurements.
• Perform field calculations and download data; ensure accuracy.
• Manage quality control for survey documents.
• Maintain and perform maintenance on field equipment.
• Oversee corporate credit card, mileage reimbursements, reporting.
• Perform surveys independently to meet deadlines.
• Comply with company policies and safety procedures.
